Any exercise is better than none! It’s ok to start with a little, and build up. Maybe a 10 minute walk a day?
Be active on most days of the week. Try choosing a different exercise for each day to add variety.
Aim for 2.5 to 5 hours of moderate intensity exercise or 1.5 to 2.5 hours of vigorous intensity activities each week. Maybe 30 – 45 minutes of brisk walking most days of the week, or three 10 minute walks, for example.

No matter how active you are, it’s important to sit less!
A sedentary lifestyle is a risk factor for heart disease, diabetes and osteoporosis.
An active lifestyle controls other heart disease risk factors such as high blood pressure, high cholesterol and obesity.
An active lifestyle leads to feeling more energetic, having healthier bones and muscles, and feeling more relaxed.
